as long as Spurrier is there. He's got our number. The past 5 years they are the ones who have given us the most consistent losses.

Look at it this way: 4 out of our last 5 games have been losses to them. How are we going to run the board with them statistically coming out ahead? Florida, Auburn,... GA Tech? PFFT. Please. This will be the 4th year in a row we beat Florida. Auburn didn't "beat" us last year like Spurrier did this year.

How do we prepare to face them? frick if I know. That ain't my job. My job is to is to survive in this state when every SC redneck screams "SPURRIIEEERRRR!!" in my face.

Spurrier won't be there much longer.

2-3 years tops. He is too old and if he can't bust through soon and win a Title with them he'll just retire.

Also you think they're a rival because you live there...

It would be different if you lived in Metro Atlanta (Auburn Hate) or South Georgia (Florida Hate).

Rival or not, if we keep losing to SC it's going to start affecting our in-state recruiting. We already have Auburn and Bama taking prime recruits.

They are a rival.

SC is Georgia's 4th biggest rival behind Fla, Auburn, and Tech.

Unfortunately, Georgia is their 2nd biggest rival, making it a more important rivalry game for them than Georgia.

Spurrier is a rival; USCe is not.

We have one rival in Clemson. No other school really compares. UGA is just a very important division game.

I'm not at a comp and don't feel like doing this shite again today.

FYI: losing to a team doesn't make them your rival.

1) GT
2) Florida
3) Auburn
4) UT
5) Clemson
6) South Carolina

That's about all we have room for at the moment. Clemson would probably be higher the UT if we got to play them more.

I agree with gh but put sc at 5 and cut off the rest.

Clemson used to be a bigger deal but not nowadays.

This. USC is just an important game, not a rival.

Actually I consider a rival anyone who gives us the most angst...that would be Florida, Auburn and South Carolina right now. As long as Spurrier is at South Carolina, I would say we are rivals....if for not other reason he seems to occupy our minds.....a lot.

To your fans? Probably. To Spurrier? It's a deep seeded hate for all things UGA. I'm pretty sure dude could have a one win season and be happy as pig in shite as long as that one win was Georgia. Until he leaves...it sure feels like a rivalry.

So a rivalry comes and goes willy nilly based on the coach? If Urban Meyer coached at kentucky would that be a rivalry now?

SC is a good, annually ranked team that has been a thorn in our side. That doesn't make them a big rival, it makes them a good football team.

ETA: UGA/gt will always be a rivalry. ALWAYS. UGA/UF and UGA/AU will always be rivals. Regardless of coaches or records.
