MSU-LSU Game Summary

MSU wins the opening toss and elects to defer.

While MSU has a kicker that can kick out of the endzone, he is instructed to kick it to the 1. The kickoff is returned to the 35.

LSU gains four yards on two runs. LSU converts third down with a 24-yard pass. MSU fans hope for a field goal. LSU completes a play-action deep ball for a TD.

No big deal, MSU fans say to themselves. We just came out flat.

MSU gets the ball and has a sustained drive to even the score.

LSU drives for a field goal.

MSU goes three and out.

LSU goes three and out.

MSU goes three and out.

Etc. 10-7 LSU at half time.

MSU receives the ball and drives for a TD. 14-10 MSU.

LSU drives for a TD. 17-14 LSU.

MSU drives into field goal range. FG missed.

LSU three and out.

End of third quarter.

MSU has hope: "We're about to take the lead." MSU fumbles the ball.

LSU scores. 24-14 LSU.

MSU three and out.

LSU scores. 31-14 LSU.

MSU drives into field goal range. FG made. 31-17 LSU.

Final score 31-17 LSU. MSU declares moral victory.

that's something LSU has had a pretty fortunate run of, kickers and punters.

While this is actually a pretty plausible prediction, I think states front 7 has more to say in the outcome. There will be at least one key turnover forced by our defense.

I hate this type of game because I really don't know what to expect. We could control the LOS and be dominant (as dominant as can be when playing LSU), or we could get beat on the deep ball all day and lose by 2 scores. Neither would shock me.
