Looks like it'll prolly be ttl team points this week. We did pretty well last week with everyone picking on their own. I'm not sure, to tell you the truth, if coming to any type of a "team" consensus on picks will help or not this week...

Maybe come to a concensus pick on the bonus (whether to use it or not & who to take if we do).
FWIW...last week was a debacle for all those who picked the bonus on all teams...

Try to get your initial picks in by Thur. afternoon so we can get an idea on where we stand as a team...

Any comments, ideas, insights etc. feel free to post 'em here or e-mail me at dallashgteam@gmail.com

Favorite / Point-Spread / Underdog
Georgia / 39.5 / Troy
East Carolina / 2.5 / North Carolina
South Carolina / 21.5 / Vandy
Alabama / 14.5 / Florida
Virginia Tech / 7.5 / Georgia Tech
Florida State / 19.5 / Clemson
LSU / 9.5 / Mississippi State
Oklahoma / 7.5 / West Virginia
Nebraska / 6.5 / Miami
What quarter will UGA first send in a back-up QB?.....1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or Never?

Optional Bonus Pick:
First to score......Georgia or Troy?

Thx...Dallas...

Assign each player a game. Do your homework and come to a consensus.

Thx for asking K-9... My MRI came out neg. no tumors etc. My Angiogram shows 10-15% blockage in my coronary arteries. They're gonna try to treat it thru medicine, vitamins, diet & excercise & go from there, hopefully a angioplasty won't be necessary down the road ...

All & all, coulda been better but coulda been a lot worse...

Luckily, football games don't keep me up at night anymore...

Give me about 4 hours & I'm pretty much over any loss anymore. I figured out a while back that I can't do anything about it, so I just fume for a few hours & try to let it go...('12 SECCG excepted, that mofo took me a month to get over)...

Is there a sub-channel we can all communicate on?

I've got a Formula. Also, I'm embedded in two team email lists. And one fake decoy lair, obviously created to spread misinformation. (amateurs)

Over.

Dallas, you can spend a lot of time with in depth analysis but in the end it boils down to a crap shoot. In close games I tend to go with the more talented team on the field; not just recruiting rankings but the rankings of the players who will actually be playing and the condition of those players. Looking at individual match-ups might help also.

The venue is clearly important as well. Case in point is we could have all guessed that Georgia would not cover the point spread in Columbia based on the history of the game there. The odds-makers have done their analysis which sets the point spread and you can watch which way the money is going to see how the betters are leaning but it's still a guessing game.

Group think obviously can work if the group has insight but if not then you can easily be the worst team. We fared pretty well last week with no group influence over individual picks. That might work just as well this week.

Assigning each team member a game to assess seems like a good strategy but maybe just present the data without conclusions to avoid group think.
