What happened to Marlin Lane? I thought this guy would be amazing...

I know it happens all the time, but what happened to Lane? Was his injury that catastrophic?

Marlin Lane is playing this year for us as a starter but Jalen Hurd's slowly getting more snaps. Lane is a good back but our oline hasn't done either back any favors and he's the smaller of our two backs. When the line can open a crease Lane can make plays.
BTW, you sure you're not thinking of UGA's Marshall? He's the one that was injured last year. Marlin Lane's injuries have always been minor.

Hurd is too good to leave on the bench and he is the future, I just get the feeling that Butch i putting what he thinks is the beast team on the field. This is one thing that used to frustrate me with Fulmer he was very loyal to his Jr. and Sr. players that freshman had very little chance of seeing the field.

Not only that but Jalen can pass block really well. He's bigger and we need the RB to help the line.

I've always like Lane. He seems to find creases sometimes that other backs can't. He just doesn't have that breakaway gear.
