We lost one game, on the road, to a rival by 3 points. All of a sudden we're going to go 7-5 and need a massive overhaul of the program and need to fire Bobo and Richt. Yes, Bobo made an egregious error by running the playaction on 1st and goal, but he is still one of the best player developers in the country and it's amazing how we complain with an offense that scores 35 points per game. It takes time to make changes to a program, so try not to freak out until Pruitt brings his players in and can implement his system the way he wants to.
On top of that, this season is not even close to being over. We looked ten times worse against South Carolina in 2012 and were five yards away from playing in a national championship. People were complaining after that game, but at the end of the season all of the complainers shut up pretty quickly. If anyone here can name someone that UGA would bring in to coach and would be better than Mark Richt I would love to have him as part of the program, but it could easily turn into a situation like Derek Dooley and Rich Rodriguez and I'm pretty sure everyone would be hating themselves for calling for Richt's head.

TL:DR - more of the same shite just a different side of the coin. You realize doing this is the same as those people that come out and bitch after a game yet never post here regularly.

Season is over bro. Pruitt is the next willie Martinez. Dark ages coming again.

Most of us changed in unity of our Hunger Games clans. Mine will be back up post-games.

Have not given up on Pruitt by any stretch of the imagination.
We didn't look good Saturday night but Swann's INT put us in position to win that ballgame.

What grade would you give his Defense overall in our 2 games so far?
I'm going with F+. Doesn't mean I'm giving up, though.
Looks like A&M has turned their shitty Defense around a bit, while ours is still the same.

I think it just takes time to get a solid system in place. After Manny Diaz left Texas last year the defense was still bad, but there was obvious improvement as the season went along. Pruitt struggled against BC last year with FSU, but every game after that they were great other than Auburn and they made great adjustments at halftime of that game. I haven't given up on him yet.

Why were USC's receivers so wide open all the time? We made Dylan Thompson look like a world-beater, when in truth, I could have probably completed some of those passes to wide fricking open receivers.........
Why was there still so much confusion on the Defense? We were told that making it simple was a priority. Sure, there is less keystone-cops routines waving arms frantically while the DC has an aneurism, but they were still confused. It's all Gary Danielson talked about the first quarter when UGA was on Defense.........
How much time is there to improve on things like this? I have The Fear. Big time.

I'd say something in the C range. 2 excellent fantastic quarters, and 6 quarters that leave a lot to be desired. Had some frick ups, but also a few positives in comparison to last year.
I fully trust he'll improve, but only by going off the 2 games played so far, I'd give him a Cish. Maybe a C minus.

We really don't have the athletes in our secondary right now. We've under-recruited at the defensive back position and that is hurting us right now. When you have a young, inexperienced, and mediocre talent in the secondary - they will be exposed when the quarterback has all day. We got no pressure on Thompson and that is why he was able to pick us apart. That was the exact opposite of the Clemson game when we were in Stoudt/Watson's face all second half.
It will improve. It has to improve. At least we've seen glimpses of what this defense can be. I'm optimistic, but only mildly (still have a bad taste in my mouth).

Spurrier ripped apart our zone coverage...I guess our CB are too shitty to play man-to-man?
I made this point in another thread, but on that Swann interception, Swann was playing that robber position, and that is what allowed him to pick off Thompson. Before that we were getting beat on those stacked routes where one WR stops in front of the LB and the other WR goes behind them and in front of the safeties...That is why there were so many open guys, in my humble and probably incorrect opinion. I think Pruitt waited too long to adjust.

I've already stated above, but it's worth reiterating- you can't undervalue a good pass rush. I agree that we probably took too long to adjust. But I feel that if we put any sort of pressure on Thompson in the first half, this game is different. We just couldn't get a push. Look at what the Bengals did to the Falcons yesterday. They established early that they were going to get after the quarterback and that made their secondary look that much better (they were playing really well already).
That's going to be key this year. Our pressure is going to have to mask the inadequacies in the secondary.

That is one of the things that I find absolutely hilarious.
Always felt those that only post after a loss are either a) fans of another team or b) whiny little girls who complain when something doesn't go their way
More likely it's B, than A.

Jefferson Dawg, this is the same answer I would have given to you. It's tough when you lose players that would be huge assets on this team like JHC and Trigga and instead have to play guys like Aaron Davis. Davis is smart and plays with heart, but I'm not sure that kid could run a 4.7 40. Wilson struggles in coverage a lot and that kills us too. Leaving the flats open as we did was inexcusable and our safeties were always a couple seconds late getting to the ball. Our D line got zero pressure, and Thompson played much better against us than A&M. He missed a lot of easy throws in that game.
