Another week, another win for the Tigers!

Let's get to it...

1st Quarter
UCF starts the game with the ball, Shane Ray immediately makes his impact felt with a TFL on a jet sweep. After a penalty for leg whipping(RT vs Golden), Mizzou pounces on a sweep pass to the RB and then on 3rd and 15 UCF gives Mizzou a gift as the WR drops a wide open pass. 3rd in long was the trend for the defense in the first half, not the results you would expect though. Terrible punt(24 yards ) gives Mizzou great field position.

Mizzou starts with the Marcus Murphy show, his long check down reception is called back on a bad block in the back by Hunt. Following run is short, the 2nd and long play is a Jet Sweep that goes for a good chunk, Murphy knocks out the UCF's safety in a big collision. Henson knows what he's got in Murphy, I hope he keeps feeding him the ball all season and doesn't get pass happy.
Mauk runs the option with Hans for the first down, I love the play with this squad, need to run it more. After a short run Mauk scrambles for the first down. At this point in the broadcast I'm already sick of the Manziel comparisons, then Mauk scrambles to his left and delivers a strike to Hunt and you get to hear more.

Then my ESPN messes up and I have no idea what idiot put the recording together, but he fricked it up.

Ok, after a bit of delay I'm back to UCF's current drive.

This drive was just one of those where UCF executed, they started with several jet sweeps and a QB draw that was designed to clear the middle of the field. I didn't see anything that really blew my gasket, Penton needs to get off blocks better, they ran to his side several times and he was locked up by the WR, opening up the 2nd level. The linebackers need to pursue a lot better, Golden beats half of these guys to the ball carrier and he's on the other side of the field. Mizzou finally stops the sweep, and sets up a long 3rd down. False start makes it 3rd and 19, I'm assuming most people were excited to get the offense back on the field shortly.

Instead, what we have is the first of several ridiculous plays that I rather give props to UCF then take shots at the Mizzou secondary. The QB put the ball in a very dangerous location and I'm willing to bet 9/10 of the time that pass is tipped or falls incomplete. It should have been intercepted by Webb, how that ball makes it in there still boggles my mind when rewatching the play. Big momentum play against the defense.

UCF continues to an off tackle run, this one towards Harris who gets contained. UCF tried to pound it in near the goal line and fails, 3rd down throw is incomplete thanks to pressure from Ray, Mizzou with a great goal line stand. UCF runs about 7 minutes off the clock and ran 11 runs to 2 passes, pretty successful drive from their standpoint. Sustainable over the entire game? I just don't see it. You take away miracle catch #1 and Mizzou was off the field. UCF makes a FG to make it 7-3. I didn't count but UCF has ran around 7-8 jet sweeps to this point, pretty striking.

Sigh, watch espn messed up again and is being a real slut, I'll try to finish this up later. It keeps restarting the broadcast to the beginning of the game.

Well, you hit on it already, but Ray was a beast.

So the review might not happen this week, ESPN removed the game from it's replay lineup for some reason, possibly because of the shite job they did recording it, sorry guys
