Through three games Bama is 22/39 (56%) on 3rd down. I've observed in the past, even when we were scoring a lot of points, Bama was often not good on 3rd down. Kiffin has to be given a lot of credit for his play calling but also the players for executing. Hope it continues as we move into SEC play.

Our third down efficiency with Sims at QB is off the charts. It's because he doesn't have many negative plays and can always scramble for a few yards if nobody is open.

Him having taken 0 sacks is pretty damn awesome.

Yeah it is. Not sure the last time we had a QB who could be called elusive.

Adding to what was posted above, I think Sims' abilities really help us in the redzone. We have had some "issues" in that area under Saban. However, in situations where McElroy or AJ would usually just throw the ball away, Sims can tuck and run. IMO, that is huge and we've seen that in the last two games.

Sims has definitely added a dimension to this offense I have never seen. I still don't understand why he is still having trouble reading signals.

I don't think that is something we need to worry about. Wouldn't shock me if Kiffin made it difficult in order to prepare Sims for similar situations.

That would shock me.
