The A&M defensive improvement is undeniable

Through three games, 2013 vs 2014 (each saw one top 10 SEC team, one FBS opponent and Rice):
•Points - 2013: 36 ppg, 2014: 14 ppg
•Sacks - 2013: 1 spg, 2014: 3 spg
•Third Down % - 2013: 41%, 2014: 33%
•Rush Yards - 2013: 260 ypg, 2014: 132 ypg
•Total Yards - 2013: 489 ypg, 2014: 386 ypg
We are also giving up five fewer first downs per game, only half as many plays of 10+ yards and have ELEVEN more QB hits/pressures through three games.

I'd say the improvement is that it's not a 100-120 defense this year. It's a 50-100 defense.
If the offense can not crap the bed the D is going to be able to win games like Bama, Auburn, and Missouri from last year.
It's still tumultuous enough to lose those games as well.

I'm sure some of them do. But LSU has a weird emotional (and possibly hate-sexual) reaction to your presence, and Arkansas simply can't stand you because it beat you here by two decades and the SEC still likes TAMU more. It's all very sad.

I agree, your defense is better. It was pretty much impossible for them to not be better. But better than the worst defense in the SEC will still be some of the worst defense in the league.

Less than 15 ppg.
After 3 games last year, they allowed 36 ppg.
