Yes, we got stomped, but I believe the score does not reflect the actual game. The non-called fumble, 2 endzone pics (one for a pick 6) represented a 28 point swing. Here are my thoughts on the game:
1) When Worley had time, he made good throws. After he got knocked down and hit his head, I think he was concussed, because his decision-making went to shite. Our O-line is terrible, but that is what everyone expected.
2) Croom, you have to catch passes, 4 drops i think?
3)Our defense played with attitude. We had some BIG hits on OU. Even towards the end of the game, we still had swagger (Cam Sutton hit). I believe we held OU to 3-12 on 3rd down, which is very very good for a young defense like ours. We were put in some bad situations, and we responded well. It looks like the losing mentality Dooley had is finally gone. We played hard, fast, and tough. We had some blown coverages, but outside of that, we looked a lot more impressive than most expected.
4) Play calling was atrocious in some instances. I dont even want to talk about it. Slow developing reverses when their Defense has been in our backfield every single play? No. Really worried about play calling after this game.
5) I hate to whine about the refs, but good god they missed about 25 holding penalties against OU. And that fumble? It amazes me in this day and age when you have slow motion HD replay you can still get something as obvious as that wrong. Thank you, Big 12 review crew.
6) Our punter, Darr, is atrocious
The Vols will make some noise in the east this year. I'm not saying we'll win it yet, but crazier things have happened. Our depth and experience is still not there, but we have the talent, and the attitude. I believe we have the horses to be competitive with every team on our schedule, and maybe win one or two were not supposed to. UGA and USC already having one division loss helps us out tremendously.
Just my thoughts after week 3. Good luck to everyone in the remainder of the season.

I would like to add that Darr is killing us.

Don't worry. I'm assured by Bama fans that it's all cyclical and that you'll be back any day.

It is what it is. You're a 5 or 6 win team.

Really? Because OU scored more points in the first quarter than UT did the entire game.

He turned the ball over three times and put up 10 pts. He did not make good decisions.

3)Our defense played with attitude.
They gave up 34 pts. They need an attitude change.

UT is better, but you are still looking at a BBVA Compass. Bowl berth at best.

Showed some fight. Another year away.

admit that you're still terrible and your fellow Vols talked out of their arse all week in the lead up to the game.
Bitching about OU not getting holding penalties.... it's like you guys don't play Bama every year or something.
oh wait.
Tennessee was lucky to only lose by 24. OU probably left 10 points on the field.
You guys are still building and are recruiting well, but don't act like the team was just a couple plays away from stomping Oklahoma.

Did you actually watch the game? Or are you just stupid?

Sounds like from your OP there is a lot wrong with your team.

You may have gotten stomped but if he could have, I'm sure Stoopsey would have made it a lot worse.

When, outside of Phil trolling, did we talk out of our arse last week? You lying piece of shite.

He was responsible for taking 14 pts. off the board for Tennessee, and at the same time gave OU 7 pts. But yeah, he made great decisions. Because great decision makers routinely give the ball away in the red zone.
Keep believing whatever you want. The final score doesn't lie and Worley almost single-handedly cost UT the game.

The non-called fumble
I agreed with the call. The OU player had control of the ball when his knee hit. Just because the ball isn't in his hands doesn't mean he doesn't have possession.

That's a coaching/philosophy problem. Unless you have an Andrew Luck type QB, or you're a spread run team, there is no reason to be back in shotgun when you're near the goal line.

No, the score reflects the game. UT got arse pounded by a superior team.
