Outgained for two consecutive years, giving up a total of 990 yards. Pretty shameful IMO.

10 points.....

Speaking of 10. Why was LSU only up 10, halfway through the 3rd qtr, against lowly ULM.

52-31 (2013)
38-10 (2014)

Shameful only outscoring your opponent 90-41 over 2 years when we outscored Arkansas 103-43 from 2012-2013.

In a short answer, Bailiff is too familiar with Sumlin.

He's coached against Sumlin from 2008-2011 and 2013-2014.

Also, they're best friends, so Sumlin wasn't about to run up the score.

Halfway through the 3rd, if you would've multiplied ULM's score by 100, we still would've been winning.

Rice-Texas A&M rivalry.
It's old school.
And their band creeps us out.
We're happy with a win.

The game wasn't in doubt, but Rice ran 91 plays and had the ball for 43 minutes. A&M's defense has a few guys that are major upgrades from last season, but the defense is still pretty bad.

Rice played a great game and against A&M and their QB especially was slippery as frick. Sloppy game for the Ags.

Still, when we can have all 3 of our starting LB's out and our offense has an off game and we still give up only 10 points I'll take it. Last year we give up 28 easily.

One thing the SEC needs to be aware of is Myles Garrett though, 6 Sacks in 3 games. He may well break Clowney's Freshman sack record of 8 next week. A&M also really needs Jordan Mastrogiovanni to get healthy. He is our best MLB by a good amount and makes running up the middle a very different scenario than without him. We are really hurting for depth on D but there is talent there.

Our 3 best linebackers were out, and we lost 2 DTs to injury as well. We're not to the point where we can sustain those types of losses without a drop off.

Who did we lose besides Henderson? Williams came back.

OP, there are probably multiple factors at play here.

Injuries at LB means backups played and didn't perform well

weather conditions/ poor turf made the game sloppy

motivation was probably too low

the defensive talent needs to get better and more experienced

If those factors exist, then A&M dorsn't look dominant at all...

Yeah, I don't know.
I haven't seen anything (re: defensive injuries) other than this:
quote:

Then there is the fact A&M played without its quarterback on defense, sophomore middle linebacker Jordan Mastrogiovanni. Defensive tackle Alonzo Williams and defensive end Daeshon Hall also missed time. At times, Snyder was forced to play five true freshmen and a senior -- linebacker Justin Bass -- who was given a scholarship less than a month ago.
