I like our progress though.

After watching a few weeks of football, if our back 7 youngsters can continue to improve and take over playing time from a few lesser talented guys we could be anywhere from 7 wins to 10 wins.

I will say this, seeing Rice put up over 200 on the ground against UTjr tonight gives me a little more hope about that game. If we can control the clock like we did today and get a stop or two we might pull it out.

I'm with you. Rice's running on A&M has me slightly optimistic. And what makes me even more confident is Brandon Allen. He's playing great ball, IMO. Not perfect, but exactly what we've needed and more even. If he can just hit those rare wide-open opportunities with any consistency we'd have something.

And that's not even mentioning the defense. I have to admit that our linebackers and the secondary played some pretty great defense considering our opponent. I expected that Tech would throw for over 400 yards. To hold them to 250'ish is pretty damn good. The linebackers both looked much better in coverage and we should have had at least 2-3 more interceptions.

Really liking our freshmen DB's, too. Liddell plays fast. Tolliver freakin' started and looked good all day.

Tevin Mitchel was mostly good, too. He had one bad play but otherwise did great.

Think we've got a lot to be excited about. My original prediction was 7-5. I think that's still about right, but I could see us messing around and pulling 9-3 out of our asses if we got lucky.

I still don't see what the hype about Ole Miss is about either. There is no way in heck they are a top 15 team. If beating the heck out of weak teams makes you a top 15 team our 2-1 record should have us in the top 25.

Leaving mine at 6-6 at this point though I feel marginally better that we might surpass that mark.

But picking us to win a bowl? Doesn't statistically compute at this juncture. Things could change of course.

I say 5-7 but as previously stated, I wouldn't be surprised if we went 7-5, it is definitely plausible.

Nah...

Still sticking to my 6-6 or 7-5 range.

Go 4-0 OOC with chances to win two or three of UGA, aTm, State, LSU, Mizzou

I think beating Bama, Ole miss is a stretch right now

Still at 5-7. Thought we'd lose to Tech but beat aTm.

I would add one more win if I had seen more from our D-line... maybe I was just missing it somehow but they didn't get as much pressure as I thought they would

Quick passes and one of the fastest hunh teams = hard for sacks. There was pressure and quite a few hurry ups fwiw

I thought that the D would put more pressure on the Tech QB.

This style of play concerns me now with aTm on the horizon.
