Just got out of the stadium and to better cell service, the loss hurts but this board is in full meltdown mode.

1. The defense- It was bad. If you want to blame anyone, blame them. It was all bad from the scheme, to the execution. They looked slow and out of position a lot, especially in the first half. Really only made 2 defensive stops all night. Swan came up with a big interception at the end of the game is probably the only good thing you can say about the defense.

2. Mason- He is what we thought he was. He isn't Murray. Still he played well enough for us to win this game. He really does lack arm strength, but again he didnt make any terrible mistake save the grounding at the end.

3. Bobo- Bobo didnt have his best game tonight, but IMO the offense played more than well enough for UGA to win. Between penalties and missed FGs there was 13 points left on the field thats almost 50 points hard to blame Bobo in this game IMO, especially on the road in Williams Brice where we have troubled to score.

Moving forward I think we have a shot to win out. Florida is winning 3-0 against Kentucky at the half, Mizzou will be tough, the defense will need to grow up by auburn but we played the best pass attack on our schedule tonight so the biggest weakness (secondary) cant be any more exposed than they already were.

Yeah, I agree with everything. I think I'm going to sit down and either figure some things out or just completely forget this game.

Please explain to me how this loss is on Bobo when UGA scored 35 points (should have been 48). Anytime you score that much you should win. I agree with you the play calling after the pick was suspect, but this loss is not on Bobo.

The boards are cancerous as frick lately. You guys take it easy. Time to go drown my sorrow in a bottle of Vodka. I love my Dawgs and we got hit in the mouth tonight. Just need to wake up tomorrow and go back to work.

With Gurley in the backfield we got the chance to win alot of games.

Take care folks

He said that because I told him no one cared what he had to say in his thread blasting Bobo. I dont see how anyone could think this loss is his fault and for someone to have been a member here for 2 years with 100 post to chime in with your anti Bobo propaganda crap is stupid.

That makes sense. We were talking in that thread and I thought he was getting mad from that.

This wasn't his best game but he got us 35 and what should have been 41 and enough to win.

Another thought: I hate watching games on CBS. Verne doesn't know the names of any of our players .

I do too. Good thoughts I generally agree with. Defense is going to have to grow moving forward, and I believe it will.

Everybody has the liquor talking at the moment. It is only week 2 fellas! We still have time to rebound and grow. Don't give those Cocks the joy of seeing us meltdown.

Go Dawgs

Was talking about this with my step dad during the game. Verne has got to go the guy cant even remember names and can barely form sentences without having to pause for 30 seconds.

Truth. There wasn't really one aspect of our defense that worked real well tonight. We never blitzed when they didn't completely expect it or in a way they didn't expect it. And they ran with impunity when they needed to. And they exploited our secondary with ease, whenever they needed to (except that last interception by Swann).

2. Mason- He is what we thought he was. He isn't Murray. Still he played well enough for us to win this game. He really does lack arm strength, but again he didnt make any terrible mistake save the grounding at the end.

Truth. Which is why it was odd and simply wrong for Bobo to rely on him to win it for us when it was late in the 4th and we had it first and goal. They had not stopped our running game the entire second half and it was as simple as handing it off to the best player in college football. But Bobo had to get cute.

Bobo called a decent game until the very last offensive series. Then he decided to get cutesy. And regardless of how many points the offense scored, there really was zero excuse for that last series. Zero.

Again - truth. But we will lose at LEAST one more game we should win. My candidates are the Mizzou game and Arkansas games. Both on the road and both losable, imvho.

But yeah, the season ain't over. South Carolina will lose at least one more, and probably two or more. The SEC East is still wide open.
