Just got a request for access from a guy who says he was 73 and played RB under Frank Howard. He may be a Tiger but as a former history major and current history enthusiast I would love to here some back and forth stories.

Y'all were there yesterday?

I was there early and stayed late. CBS, just as they always do, came in and filmed us for awhile. I was BBQing on the back deck in my apron and black Gamecock Gilligan's hat.

Yeah we were. I'm at every home game. Figured it was a long shot since it was during the delay, but why not give it a shot?

Dunno about Rooster, but I'm strongly considering it. It's the last place in the East (not counting Mizzou) that I haven't been to yet. Any thoughts?

Lexington is a nice place. Enjoyed my trip both times. Except for the outcome of my 2010 trip of course.

Going to be flying up with a couple of other couples in a King Air. We're going to spend Friday at Keeneland. We're wavering on whether we're leaving Thursday afternoon or early Friday morning.

None of us seem to know for sure when that game is scheduled to be played. Day game, night game, whatever. It's really ticking us off ... although we've been told it is going to be a noon kickoff - we've not seen it made official and we usually play Kentucky at night up there.

Are you plans there already set? ie, seating etc?

Used to be a gentleman's handshake agreement between Keeneland and UK to never overlap. Keeneland during day and UK at night so both venues benefitted and did not cannibalize each other. With the newer network deals that agreement has gone by the wayside, sadly for both.

My nephew was at the game this weekend in Columbia (rooting for the Cocks) and was try to find you last week.

Friday we're going to be at Keeneland with a doctor Buddy of mine who is coming down with his wife from Columbus to meet us there. He and his wife used to have a place near us on the Isle of Palms twenty-five something years ago and he has an office in Lexington (KY) that has connections to Keeneland so we are always in his suite when we go up there.

This TV thing has really got us strung out with regard to plans.

We were flying into Blue Haven but now we're flying into Blue Grass which is okay, but not my favorite airport - it's fine and all but they are twice as expensive for small craft and they always keep us up there waiting and waiting regardless how early we file our flight plan.

I love Blue Grass but I fly TAC Air as the former owner was a texan and best buddies with a cousin. Always got good service and the cookies in that place always seem fresh. What kind of strip do they have over in Paris?

He suite (fifth floor glass) or box (2nd floor open)?

BTW, s your family member still working in the area?

I dunno ... is Paris a viable option? I'll call my pilot tomorrow.

I thought it was fourth floor ... never really paid attention I guess. But we're inside the glass when we eat and for the drinks and catching up. Then we go downstairs for the races. Back and forth between the two actually. The wives like to stay upstairs but we men like it better downstairs.

No ... she's no longer in Lexington. She's in Berkeley CA now, law school. I'm not happy about it but she's always been my liberal save the world white guilt rich kid progressive child. She gets it honestly from her mother's side of the family.

Blue Haven = Paris // Did not know they had more than a dirt or grass strip.

BGF or TAC Air are right across the street from the track. Much easier if you are just going to the track for the day.

Behind the glass place too far away from the action for me.

4th and 5th floor too far away for me. I like down on 2nd floor closer to the finish line. Was going to see if you wanted to join me but sounds like the wives probably not into it.

As long as she is happy then what more can you ask. At least she is in a good school especially if she is out to save the world via a environmental JD. Is she going to practice on that coast?

What you are really talking about is the 1% of the 1%. Those are the guys who really own everything. If you are going to revolt, it needs to start in NYC / BOS / PHIL / LA as those are the folks who control it. The days of local or regional power probably went out in the 80"s when the "Greed is Good" mantra took over.

Your picture of me is skewed, I am not the guy in the backseat with the Grey Poupon but the guy getting paid to drive or the guy getting paid to put the mustard in the car in the first place. The pay sucks but when the boss is gone you get to use what they do not.

Sadly. probably not, tho we do need to shake up the top.

Need to bring back rewards for good behavior and hang the greedy folks who got us in this mess.

According to that thread on tRant, not only can South Carolina not afford cigars, but we're lucky if we can pool our resources for a matchbook.
