Herby said he only ranked us #1 to acknowledge what we did against Clemson, not because he actually thinks we're a #1 team.

Well, the weekly narratives begin and end with Gameday. They spent the past two weeks sucking us off so now they have to change course to keep things interesting. If we win, we're resilient. If we lose, they're genius prognosticators and the East is wide open again (which is a preferable story line for them).

Got to take care of business today and we'll be the favorite the rest of the year.

Yep. We've only answered half of the questions laid out for us this eason. Now we have to know:

- Can we win in a hostile road environment?
- Can we conquer adversity?
- Can we win games we're "supposed to?"
- Can we win coming off a bye week?
- Can we win coming off another big win?

If the answer to all of those is yes, then we're in business. Win or lose, though, we'll still be in this thing all season (barring the injuries we experienced last year).

Guys, UGA is winning this year. What no one is talking about is that USCe just doesn't have much on defense. Their top end talent is not at UGA's level, and UGA's depth is better on that side of the ball as well. They just don't have the lateral speed side to side line as they have in the past.

Their passing game will get some points, but I just don't think they can stop UGA's offense.

But that's the thing: we should win. Everyone, including Carolina fans, have said we should win. But have we really changed? Are we going to finally win the big game that we are supposed to win?

Georgia usually does win the games they are supposed to win.

Spectacular upsets of heavily favored opponents are much less common.

But only usually. Turning the corner involves doing it always. When A&M upset Bama, it won Manziel the Heisman because it was that much of a feat. That's where we need to be: beating Georgia is a resume feature.

Can you find a fan base more emotionally abused than GA? Everything points to a win but we've been smacked around so much in the past we just can't believe it.

We're like Ray Rice's fiance.....we'll sit there and tell everyone things have changed and ...really...everything is better now.....but deep down...we don't believe it!!

Well stated. Clearly they feel strongly all ways.

Chris Low also picked USCe.

Perhaps they realize that UGA has been overrated and SC is underrated...

It's pretty good. Just Gurley addressing the hype and comparisons to Jim Brown, Herschel. Basically said he's still got a long way to go and a lot more work to do before he thinks he's ready to be compared to those two guys
