Would it have even mattered? Maybe he would have helped the 2012 season, but probably not. And last year and this year, I'd have to say we're all set. Still you have to wonder if Gus ever regrets that decision.

We did offer... We wanted him to play DB...

Plus we took a RB from Florida that worked out OK... Tre Mason....

Should have clarified. Offered to play RB. I know we wanted him at DB

Tough to say. A lot of us pushed for him, I remember saying that I wasn't sure he would be any good but you need guys like him on your team - guys that work hard and push other players to be better. I think our staff, like most of us, chalked his production up to hard work and ignored his skill set.

I'm sure Gus probably wished we had him on the roster but it's tough to say we would be any better because of it. Tre Mason was spectacular and broke records, and Chris Davis will go down as Auburn's most famous return man.

He had all the athleticism in the world coming out of high school, but he was tiny. 5'9 177 was awfully generous for him. If we had him, I doubt we would have gotten Tre.

Yes, it was talked we were looking at him as a DB, but he would have gotten a shot at RB.

JMO but if we offered I think he would have the same role and production as Corey Grant so I believe it would not have mattered.
