South Carolina is where coaches go to die. Other than Sparky Woods (VMI) no Gamecock coach since at least 1966 has ever headcoached at another college after escaping Columbia. May The Head Ball Coach soon go away as well. A Dawg victory Saturday might hasten his retirement.

Who knows?

If Spurrier leaves, I'll miss his interviews and trolling of Clemson.

So we're a destination program and not a stepping stone?

I'm cool with that.

Butts... retired

Griffith.... fired

Dooley...retired

Goff...fired

Donnan...fired

Richt...???

Of course we've only had 6 coaches in the last 75 years vs. 13 for SCe...

An interesting stat that is somewhat related:

Every school that Lou Holtz has been a head coach at has ended up on probation based on violations that occurred during his tenure:
NC State, Minnesota, Arkansas, Notre Dame, and South Carolina.

Pretty wild IMO.
