Tennessee tight ends coach Mark Elder said Wednesday that he believes freshman tight end Ethan Wolf will "be ready to go" for the Vols' game Saturday night at fourth-ranked Oklahoma despite the bruised knee he suffered last week against Arkansas State.

Coach Butch Jones said Monday that Wolf is "questionable" for Saturday's game. Wolf participated in Wednesday's practice at Haslam Field, wearing a protective sleeve and heavy brace on his right knee, and moved with a noticeable limp.

Elder chose his words carefully in discussing Wolf's status but expressed optimism that he might be ready to play against the Sooners.

“Ethan’s doing great," Elder said. "He’s doing really well."

Asked whether Wolf has shown any residual effects from the injury, Elder said, "No, not really. He’s doing pretty well."
