What will it take for this team earn respect of other SEC opponents? We have to have one of those wins that shock the whole nation, and we will get our opportunity on September 20th in Tuscaloosa. How great it would be to get a win at Alabama for Muschamp and this team...

not only would we need a win over Bama, but we would need a sound win over Bama. I'm thinking an easy 42-7 type of score. but that's a long shot imo.

Bama win.
People like to troll and discount UF, but they'll be quick to use us to gloat about their SoS.

I not really think we can beat Bama...I EXPECT it. Bama is over rated and they do not have the defense of a few years ago.
The team that has the most rushing yds wins...and you can take that to the bank. That means our defense stops their run game and both teams will try to do just that. We stack the box and play man to man in the secondary where we have distinct advantage over Bama. Sims will crap his pants with a fierce pass rush on third and longs.
Whichever team keeps third downs to a reasonable distance will have the upperhand. Field position will probably be in our favor with a few decent returns and a couple of good punts...we will need to make the crowd quiet early. No problem.

We aren't ready for Bama. Our passing game needs to get much better for this. Bama is gonna thump us pretty good because everyone keeps talking about us knocking them off so they will be ready. We don't have the discipline to pull off a w playing conservative.

i have a feeling they're overlooking us for some reason. that doesn't mean we'll win, but they already have the confidence there just because they're Bama.

I think we're going to be the more motivated, inspired team that game actually. It's going to be a close game.

Beating Bama of making it close like UGA did in the SECC.

I think you have the teams mixed up...the thumping will be done by us. FAU was gutting Bamas DL up the middle when they ran...turned it over on downs on one possession near the Bama 20 yd line and had turnover issues....but I saw a Bama team that did not tackle well.
You force Sims to beat us and its over, game set match. Bama will rely on draws/delays/screens to Yeldon/Henry as their only hope of breaking big plays...but we have team speed to recover quickly.

Bama's defense is lacking and their ability to pass is causing their running game to slow. We have the speed in the secondary (our best defensive group, or second best -- it's difficult to judge between our Dline and our secondary) to really, really hurt them with Sims. We have the pressure on the edges, the size in the middle and the ballhawks to do some takeaways.
And now we have an offense that may actually be able to hold onto the ball.

Our LBs need to do a better job of get to the edge and making plays on outside runs. Especially Morrison. Choppa Dan and Davis did a better job of that versus EMU.

we certainly have the tools to beat anyone on our schedule. im taking the game by game approach. wanna see us put a complete game in against uk.

I agree with this.

I see one after another talking head mentioning Bama not being tested until UF comes to town. I think this game is setting up to be another 2005, especially if we thump Kentucky.

Well of course...
But no one in the media will pick UF to win.
And even if UF wins, it will be some sort of "fluke" or "lucky" like 2012 is considered.
