Just when I thought NWA couldn't get any better, I go and find that they have been keeping this crown jewel hidden from me for the last couple of years.

the community where a lot of my family lives put together a cookbook several years ago. my uncle has a recipe for squirrel in there- i can find it for ya if you're interested. iirc, there was a point made that it had to be young squirrels- i guess they get old and tough or something.

Never had squirrel brains and eggs? All of my family is from way down south (Possum Valley, which is close to Monticello), and they all ate it growing up.

no, i think i tried a bite of fried squirrel before and all kinds of other stuff (tripe, brains, etc) that people might find questionable.

Literally tastes like chicken. Little tough, but not bad honestly.
