As we sit here today, I have little doubt that Gameday will visit Oxford on October 4th when OM hosts Alabama. Both will likely be Top 10 or close to it.

Just realized what a brutal stretch of games Ole Miss begins on that day.

Oct. 4 Bama
Oct. 11 @aTm
Oct. 18 UTenn
Oct. 25 @LSU
Nov. 1 Auburn

All without a bye week...that is pretty brutal right there.

I don't think it is unreasonable to think the Ole Miss, at best, only wins two of those 5 games, and honestly, could lose them all.

The SEC office screwed the Rebel Black Bears with that schedule.

At least there's a break between aTm and Auburn.

Sadly, you may be right. Of course, by Oct 25th, LSU might just be rounding into form.

You had a much tougher stretch than four Top 10 teams in five weeks - three of which are realistically possibly Top 5 teams (Bama, AU, aTm)?

Last year we played
At Texas
Bye
At Alabama
At auburn
A&m
Lsu

Playing Texas on the road is worse than UT at home and Bama/Auburn on the road is much much worse than LSU/A&M on the road, if you are Ole miss. We did have a bye week so I'll give you that.

I think by the time LSU game comes around, we won't be seeing many RebBear posters on the Rant.

Tennessee is the only win I see in that group.

Last year we played
At Texas (No explanation needed)
Bye
At Alabama (Finished with Two Losses)
At auburn (Finished with Two Losses - won SEC)
A&m (Barely beat Duke and Finished with 4 Losses)
Lsu (Finished with 3 losses)

In hindsight, not that tough.
