The potential future for Alabama QB's

Bama fans, if Sims has a successful year as a (DT) QB would you like to see Saban recruit guys that bring that dynamic to your offense? Obviously, you are gonna say that you want to win championships with whoever is back there. But, I will say that I enjoy watching Sims as Kiffin and Co. change up the philosophy a bit. It's cool seeing a guy back there that isn't your prototypical Bama QB and still having success. I'll be watching a lot more of y'alls games this year since the offense isn't as lackluster (no flame) as in years past.

Kiffin has a big hand in Sims doing so well early.

I don't follow recruiting as much as your normal poster, so I'm unaware of y'alls targets.

Addressed that.

He is middle of the pack in the conference in QBR

I agree. I'm hoping Sims proves the Bama doubters wrong, including myself before hoping on his bandwagon.

Having someone who can salvage a play with their legs is always nice, but ball management is the most important thing. Whoever can distribute it to other playmakers and make good decisions will be our best bet, regardless of they run a 4.5 or a 5.4

I've always been and always will be a fan of grind it out, staunch defense with some nice play action style football.
2011 Bama/Lsu (9-6 game) to me, is more exciting than back and forth swapping the lead. It creates more tense situations, knowing just one play can make or break the game. Other favorites that I remember much more than shootouts..
1990 Bama/Tennessee 9-6 game
2005 Bama/Tennessee 6-3 game
1991 Alabama/Auburn 13-6 game

Agreed. It will be interesting to see how he manages the offense. When to check it down, throw it away, or salvage a play with his legs. If he can perfect those 3 in unison, I could see Bama being very spectacular on offense.

I'd rather have the prototypical QB that can make all the throws. If the guy has good legs as well, then that's a plus, but the arm is my #1 priority.

I agree that it's just fun to see something different. Love Bama, but it's like watching the same game over and over sometimes.

The player Coker trucked at the 4 would prolly have something to add about a qb making plays with his legs.
