This thread again? The SEC gains very, very little by adding UT, television-viewing wise. Combined with the manipulative, toxic system that is UT athletics, it is a horrible idea. They do not fit culturally as well. Have you ever been to Austin? Think Berkeley lite.
They wouldn't come anyway, because they'd rather be a tinhorn dictator of a shitshow conference than on par with anyone even if it made them a better team. They are the definition of a tyrant.

texas is a conference killer - just look at the SWC and the B12 - and sooners would blow chunks without TX recruiting. those 2 outside of the SEC means peace AND texas recruiting for SEC west schools.
