Could of sworn I'd posted this link before but after looking through history I couldn't find it.

Anyway this is a half decent read LINK

It's kinda funny watching it go from 90% thinking they will win to 10% thinking they'll win.

I need to watch their game again, but in concerned about containing their QB. Our offense should put up numbers but I'm definitely concerned about the D. Glad we have a week and a half to work on it.

Yeah I expect our D to come out prepared for their QB. We have two weeks to work preparation for it and LaTech is the game that follows them so I'm not concerned. If we are championship caliber like I believe, we'll take the mindset to Manahattan and put it on K-State.

They'll score on us but we'll score more. I can't image Nick having a worse game than he had tonight.

He set the bar pretty low tonight.

Honestly JJ is the best QB we have on the team right now. I might get smacked for that, but it's true.

I love Nick but watching Jeremy play gets me excited for a reliable passing QB again. Screwing up 10 yard throws consistently is very very irritating

I agree... people say NM makes our run game but I don't think it would drop off that much with JJ. Our passing numbers would negate the drop in NM running ability anyway. To spin it further CAP and company may have more success running when teams aren't stacking the box against us because JJ is torching them.

They have an NFL WR in Lockett and a decent, but inaccurate Qb who can run. Think Miss St with a mediocre defense.

We should win by 17+ but it could be close if we continue to put the ball on the ground

I'll be curious to see if we really open up the offense. There is so much from Gus's offense from 2009 and 2010 we haven't seen last year or this year.

After tonight, I'm starting to get concerned. Seeing NM struggle at throwing, but watching a very consistent JJ nail his throws, makes me think about what will happen when we square off against a very stellar defense of an opponent. Given how stacked we are at WR, we need a guy who's consistent at throwing. By sticking w/ Marshall, we rely on the run more than we have to. Hopefully NM just had an off night, and he will be the guy who can successfully get the ball to our WRs. If not, we need to put JJ in more. If our D gives up too many points, we need to utilize every weapon in our offensive arsenal.

Agree with all of this myself. And if we actually gave JJ more reps with the read option he is fast enough to be decent at that as well (nowhere close to Nick of course, but solid).

Our offense will be very good with either QB, but if Nick can't improve as a passer we will probably have issues offensively in a couple games this year. And at this point I have way more confidence in JJ becoming good at read option that Nick becoming a decent passer.

So you did not watch last week against Arky? We could not run with jj in there.

Are y'all really seriously craping on the starting qb who just won the sec championship? Boohoo we can't throw well against SJSU, all is lost. Gtfo with this garbage.

Auburn fans were foolish to believe a QB would make a huge stride in accuracy. It never happens. However, Auburn fans are equally foolish to want to swap out a guy who has proven to perform under fire like NM for JJ at this point. The zone read is still the best part of our offense and helps protect our d.

Not having Sammie hurt last night. But our offense looked strange to me last night. Looked like gus was using parts of the game as practice. Then on nicks last drive it looked like he let auburn do their thing again.

I think you will see us roll next Thursday.

I am convinced Ricardo Louis has the worst hands on the team. How many did he drop last night? At least 3.

There is a reason Nick s the starter...he runs our offense the best...our full offense.

That is exactly what he was doing.

I think he definitely was.

I'm ok with that as well. Work on the things you need to work on to (A) See where you are in a game situation (B) Try and improve.

It is frustrating when we work on those areas we need to improve and it doesn't go great, but hell it is the smart thing. We could have stayed read option with Nick the whole game and probably scored 85 points or close yesterday, but that doesn't do anyone any good.

JJ is the better passer for sure, but NM definitely opens up running lanes for our RB's. I'm honestly comfortable with either one starting, though I do feel like I've been spoiled by seeing JJ pass the ball. When I turn around and see NM overthrow fricking Duke Williams I'm like "WTF!?!?! JJ would of nailed that!" Where as last year I would of simply been like "C'mon man gotta make that pass."
