How did you become a fan of your team

Where you born in the state, alumni, move to the state, have family that attends etc.
For me I was born in Tennessee, have family alumni from UT, LSU, and Bama and have lived in TN, LA, and FL

Grew up in Johnson City, TN. Grandad played basketball at UT in the 50's and my fam has had season tix since the 70's.

My mom went to Michigan, my Dad went to Texas A&M. Grew up cheering for both schools' football teams and visiting both campuses. Ultimately picked TAMU because I wanted to stay in Texas and liked the atmosphere there just a tad better.

Dad went to LSU. Became an Ole Miss fan before I was born, so I was born into it.

Left San Francisco to attend Ole Miss. I am not sure how I got there

My eventual wife took me to my first game, decided to attend the University shortly after that, been bleeding maroon ever since. I was the first one of my immediate family to graduate from a University.
However, my cousin plays on the O-Line for Michigan, so I also root for them.

Uncle was doing his phd at UF in the mid 90s. When I was 5 during the 1997 season, I went down to Gainesville with my family for the UF-FSU game.
Best game ever in the swamp. I was sold. My 2nd ever football game was the 1998 LSU @ UF game.
