Week 1) vs Arkansas (W, 45-21)
Week 2) vs San Jose State (97.7%)
Week 3) BYE
Week 4) @ Kansas State (76.1%)
Week 5) vs Louisiana Tech (99.2%)
Week 6) vs LSU (73.1%)
Week 7) @ Mississippi State (53.5%)
Week 8) vs South Carolina (78.0%)
Week 9) @ Ole Miss (58.7%)
Week 10) vs Texas A&M (65.9%)
Week 11) @ Georgia (48.1%)
Week 12) vs Samford (100.00%)
Week 13) @ Alabama (44.0%)

https://espn.go.com/college-football/team/fpi?id=2&year=2014

How does your team stack up against the competition given the percentages displayed by ESPN?

For Auburn, I was surprised to see the percentage of beating LSU at 73.1% (LSU and Auburn always play each other tough in JHS), and also surprised to see the percentage of beating Alabama at 44.0% (their record against top 10 teams in BDS is not that great). Of course, some of these percentages are expected to chance as the season goes on. FWIW, that week 7 game scares me to death - been saying it all off-season.

So there is no way in the universe Samford could beat AU?

I think they figure home field advantage into the equation a little more than they should, but playing in JHS is pretty tough...

After watching week 1, I'm surprised Auburn only has a 58.7% chance of beating Ole Miss.

Apparently this could be the year State finally beats us (they give us only a 52.1% chance of victory) and we'll be lucky to make it through the season with only 3 losses.

In other words, it's way too early to tell much of anything -- especially with so many young players on our team.

ESPN loves the Grind this year.

They currently either favor them or give them a 45%+ chance in every game except against Bama.

As best I can tell, these are the only schools ESPN has favored (using FPI) in all remaining regular season games:

Florida State
Oregon
Bama
UGA
Oklahoma
Ohio State
Marshall
Wisconsin

The Aggies are given a 44.9% chance against Miss State but a 65.5% chance against LSU.

Can't imagine who Oklahoma would not be favored against on their schedule?

I'm not surprised by that at all. Ole Miss has a good team and it's on the road.

Good catch.

I didn't click down that far to check as they are rated only 11th in FPI, right after (wait for it).....

Miss State at 10th (print the T-shirts!)

I'll add Oklahoma to the list.
