So who is Bert's Mike McKenzie?

Instead of FranObserver, they have BertObserver.

Yes. Both took lesser jobs.

I forgot about that McKenzie tool. What kind of coach has a goon that monitors message boards?

Fran was 4-9 through his first 13 games and Bert is 3-10, so that's pretty comparable. Fran did go 7-5 in his second year though. Do you see Bert winning 6-8 games this year? I sure don't

What conference did Fran coach in when he was at arse-to-mouth? I forget.

The Big 12 South was tough as shite in the early to mid 2000s

Like 77-0 tough. I think that happened the same year a mediocre Arkansas team went into Austin and dominated Texas.

The Big 12 was a good conference on paper. It was just horribly managed and filled with a lot of schools in low growth states.

Fran won some conference games, so no.

That Arkansas team went 9-4. 2003 Texas went 10-3. Not much real difference between the two teams.

Baylor went 3-9
OSU went 9-4
Tech went 8-5
Texas went 10-3
OU went 12-2

Winning percentage for the division taking out the weak link (a&m): .646

This completely ignores the quality of the northern division opponent, or SEC-E opponent they might have played. I don't have that much time.

Auburn 12-2
Alabama 11-2
LSU 10-3
A&M 9-4
MSU 7-6
OM 8-5

Winning percentage for the division taking out the weak link: .722

This t-shirt fan doesn't know what an anchor does, guys. OBVIOUSLY not a super-smart A&M fan.

We were already "in a bind" before he took over and he's trying to slowly get us out of it

Nah bra - Arkansas was overflowing with NFL talent and recruiting consistency the 2 seasons leading up to Bret's hiring. Duh.

What about 2004(Frans second year)? 2 top 5 teams, 3 top 25 teams, 5 bowl eligible teams out of 6. I'm not saying it was harder than the SEC W is right now, but it wasn't easy. Our schedule in Frans first two years were tough. He played 10-2 Urban Meyer coached Utah, @ 8-5 Va Tech, and 8-5 Pitt OOC plus the Big 12 slate. 04 we played @ undefeated Fiesta Bowl bound Utah and at home vs Clemson

It might be unpleasant but as of right now Bert's body of work is very similar to Fran's through the same time period

I guess it's possible someone of Bert's size is really a blimp and not an anchor but I'm thinking anchor is far more likely.

But as a blimp, Bert could make a much cooler entrance onto the field than from a Hog Pen.

Make it happen.
