He only has to average 91.3 ypg from here on out with a bowl minus SECCG.

Bowl + SECCG: 84.3.

Will probably pick up 130 per game for the next two games. So it's very possible.

He could but he also could get limited time.

Barring injury, absolutely.

Yeldon's current career yardage: 2,469 rushing yards
Shaun Alexander's record: 3,565 rushing yards

What's more...it took Alexander until the final regular season game of his senior season to break the old record holder (Bobby Humphrey).

TJ Yeldon is set to break the record in his junior year.

Probably. Looks like he needs 1,096 yards.

He has 14 games left so that's only about 79 yards a game.

He will, especially if we play 15 games.

The better question is whether or not he'll break Mark's career TD record.

Mark had 42, Yeldon sits at 28. Needs 14 to tie, 15 to break.

We seem determined to give him goalline carries.

I don't think most Bama fans truly realize how special Yeldon truly is. Sure, he's had a few crucial fumbles but he's helped win way more games than he's helped lose.

I think it has more to do with the team than just Yeldon's talent. He's a great back, sure. But, I don't think he's necessarily better than most of the other starting RB's under Saban. It's a product of talented RB's, great offensive lines, and a commitment to run the ball.

Except with last year's OL he had work hard to earn the yards. It the line would have been better on run blocking he may be a lot closer to both records.

Yes, but that line was still probably as good or better than the lines that most other RB's get/got to run behind.

I agree it is a product of the system, but MI, TR, and EL probably overall had better OL. Yeldon is not flashy by any means but he is a work horse when needed.

The problem he may face this year is Henry wanting the ball more and challenging for it, as well as if Kiffin gets our passing game going will be interesting to see if he can get enough carries by season end. The next two games he may only see half a game and the UF will have a stingy defense if nothing else.

If for some reason Yeldon decides to stay another year, he will hold all the career rushing records and they will not be broken for a very very long time.
