Does Georgia have a legitimate chance to get him? It has been a few weeks ago, but his crystal ball on 247 was close to 100 FSU last time I saw it

It looks like FSU lock. If not, it could be either LSU or UGA. I haven't seen any legitimate information which would lead me to believe that UGA is in a better position than LSU.

He just visited UGA this weekend and UGA is trending hard. Crystal balls are starting to roll in.

Yes. He came on an unofficial to Athens last weekend and we made HUGE strides with him. I'd say we've moved ahead of LSU at this point and are neck and neck with FSU. Two former teammates, Sony Michel and Isaiah McKenzie are both freshmen and played a lot on Saturday (He rode 10 hours up from Miami with them). Also doesn't hurt that our defense looked fantastic in the second half and he can make a pretty quick impact.

Rusty Mansell, who doesn't Crystal Ball just to do it, CB'd him to UGA today. Said he feels pretty strong about it based on a couple of conversations he had yesterday. The Noles 247 insider also feels confident so we'll see.

What information do you consider legitimate?

I guess if you consider 3 new crystal balls and one switch as "trending hard" and "rolling in," then UGA looks to be a very distant second. With over a month left before his announcement and his not having visited LSU nor saying that he is not going to visit, I don't consider that very significant.

The crystal ball has nothing to do with me saying that UGA is trending. The four new CBs are just a symptom of that. The best UGA mod there is thinks UGA is right there with FSU, and UGA has a lot to sell. Friends, early pt, good relationships at the HS, etc.

If he doesn't take a visit to LSU by the end of September, then I would take that as a sign that it's down to FSU and UGA. I can see why UGA fans might feel a little better about their chances after the visit, but I don't see it as meaning much as of now.

I think it means a lot. That he's set his commit date so soon after his visit means one of 2 things.

He loved his visit and wants to commit to UGA.

He has a clear conscience and realizes where he wants to go, and it's not UGA.

He has two friends on the team. We have a huge need at DB. He missed his flight to Athens this weekend, but rented a car and drove 10 hours to be there. Then the UGA mods said we were trending. Then CBs rolled in. Then the FSU mod said we made up a lot of ground and his former teammates being on the team were a big deal.

We might not get him, but you'd have a hard time convincing me we aren't at least 2nd right now. With that said, 2nd gets you nothing in recruiting.

Nothing to see here.
This stuff means nothing.
UGA is a non factor and distant third.
Your selling points are useless.

F$U still gets him, imo. But UGA is now second and with a chance.

The coach who was recruiting him at F$U is now at UGA recruiting him. Two high school teammates are already there and thriving.

We have a shot.

But yeah, I still think FSU gets him. Hope I'm wrong.

That devil has a vexing look about him. I am glad he does not have haste.
