I found great irony in that premiering the night before A&M and a huge part of the production was spent championing his laid back work less attitude. It showed against A&M.

Right? "I haven't thrown a hat in 20 years." Uhhhhh, ok Steve.

But, he's the damn man. Seen the episode 3 times and enjoyed it all 3 times.

He doesn't throw it like he used to, but he did launch the head set during the A&M game.

What? His offense did fine. He leaves the defense up to the DC.

I have respect for CSS. But he sets the tone for all coaches. His offense abandoned the run which could have helped the defense. Abandoning the run has been his kryptonite for 21 years though so it isn't new.

Of course he abandoned the run. We were playing from 10 down from the get go and 17+ down for a good portion of the game. Not to mention Mike Davis had a little ticky tack injury and took himself out of the game (which is why we'll be seeing more acting from one of our freshman RBs vs ECU. Was a good get on the recruiting trail, the fan base is excited)

Did you watch the game? Our offense sucked. Our offense hasn't been good since he's been here. OK, last year wasn't bad but we were effective in a manner not even close to what Spurrier wants to do. Spurrier is supposed to be an offensive genius and great QB coach and we haven't had either of those since he's been here. At least the defense has an excuse with the personnel losses on that side. They've also been the major reason we've won the games we have since SOS has been here.

Ah, sunshine pumper. I see.

Down 10 and down 17 early with a weak defense isn't a time to completely abandon the run. Especially when it is theoretically the strong point of your offense.

It was a really well done show, though. I enjoyed it. Hell, I enjoy pretty much everything on the SECN sans Finebaum, but apparently that's Rant sacrilege

What? Do you even know what a sunshine pumper is? Our defense was getting their arse kicked and our best RB turned into a sensitive Sally again.

We were down early and often, A&M knew we were going to pass the ball and Thompson still threw for 366 yards and 4 TDs. If our defense wasn't so atrocious everyone would be singing Thompson's and the offense's praise.

Hell there probably shoulda, woulda, coulda, been a 5th total TD. Thompson threw a great pass in the end zone at the end of the half but the A&M DB made an excellent hit to knock the ball loose.
