Athens is getting a 4th brewery

Southern Brewing Co. off of Collins Industrial Boulevard (near Athens Tech).
Broke ground today and will be completed by May 2015.

So, that gives us Terrapin, Creature Comforts, Copper Creek, and now Southern Brewing.

Who knows but they'll probably make bank off the name alone, regardless of how the beer tastes. You know people gonna be all about buying up some Southern Brewing shirts, hats, glasses, etc.

Yeah, I know one of the guys opening it- anyway, the name is very calculated. Was a brewery in fla by that name in the 90's apparently but the rights were available. They're gonna clean house w/ in the SE the name alone - beers are gonna kick arse too.

Okay, I know RG. It's gonna be a great product and I'm hoping to find an in for some local farmers to produce grain for these guys and the other breweries.

Brian does a big pumpkin brew thing at his house each fall- where I first met him and RG. You should ask him about it- it's a blast.
