Now that we've seen kenny hill come out first game and light it up. Does this possibly mean Manziel's success is credited more to the system and Sumlin than his talent as what was previously thought?

no

their playing styles are nothing alike, and each appear (with so little data on KH) to be very good in their own right

Debatable. One lost 8 games in 2 years. Lets see how many this guy will lose.

I certainly think it could. If Hill keeps up his stellar play (I know that he can't set records every week) for the rest of the season, I think that he'll prove that Manziel was more a product of the system than some kind of generational talent.

if this is a serious question I really wonder if you have even watched either of the two play...

oh, it's a one man team?

because last I checked, our losses were heavily dependent on our defense sucking arse, and neither player plays defense...

not to mention, we've only lost 6 games in two years, not 8

exhibit A....one of JFF's "losses"

quote:

Manziel was his spectacular self, throwing for a career-best 464 yards, running for 98 and throwing five TDs. His 562 total yards is the second-most in Southeastern Conference history, ranking only behind the 576 he had against Louisiana Tech.

This is a serious question. I was a Manziel fan and I expected a big drop off after he left. First game with a new quarterback and they set records against a formidable defense. Just makes me think the last two years success may have more to do with the coach and system.

Manziel has already signed a multi-million dollar contract not to mention all the ads he gets paid for.

Woah, slow down. If you bring an LSU fan back to reality too quickly, their brain won't be able to handle it. Like a starving child, you have to start out with gruel, not steak.

Johnny didn't run Sumlin's system. With Hill in it will be closer to the air raid ala U of H.

Auburn RB's

Sample size isn't great to make a determination there...

Ben Tate shined under Malzahn's O and has been pretty damn good in the NFL despite injuries.

After Tate came Dyer and then Tre Mason in the feature back role. Tre Mason hasn't had a chance to play an NFL down and Dyer is pissing his career away due to being a complete moron -- not lack of NFL ability.

I guess if you're referring to the speed back role in Gus' Offense then yea that is more of a "system RB" role, but still Onterrio is the only guy who has played through it and he was tiny anyway.

Corey Grant is just as fast, has more heft, and more willingness to cut upfield and run North/South. I think he has a pretty good shot to make it on an NFL team as a RB.

Is it not possible that both are just very good QBs?
