I'd be interested to see the composition of this number with regard to regionality, and whether this astronomical growth is coming from Texas, the lottery scholarship, or a combination. It's obviously a combination of factors, but I'd be interested to see which is having a bigger impact on the growth curve.
FWIW I was a freshman ten years ago, and I believe we were around 16k or 17k for students on campus. That ten year growth is mind-boggling.

This is interesting. Arkansas Tech is now #3, passing both UALR and UCA this year. They aren't much smaller than Arkansas State.
