I was just looking through the 247 rankings and was scrolling down and saw Florida all the way down at 27 in the rankings. I know they only have 11 commits but it is still strange to see them ranked so low by the start of the season. I know they're probably going to get CeCe Jefferson and are right in the thick of it with Cowart.

Is this just by design?
Do they not have a lot of room in their current class?

Just curious because it was odd to see one of the best recruiting teams in the conference to be outside the Top 25 at this point.

They're going to get Jefferson and Cowart and probably Jeff Holland. They're also in a battle for Martez Ivey and are in the hunt for Roquan Smith. They'll be fine.

If their season goes well they have a good chance to flip Deon Cain and Ray-Ray McCloud from Clemson as well. Gatordmb can probably go into more detail of what's out there for UF

Yea I know they have some stud targets but my question was numbers. 11 seems pretty low this time of year. How many are they looking to take? It this like us a couple years back where we only took 19 or so?

I believe they have already had 3 or 4 kids decommit for some reason. I don't really know the story behind it because I don't follow Florida's recruiting that closely

I think UF has a ton of silents at this point. A lot of offensive recruits want to see the offense before committing to UF with good reason.

If UF comes out with a good offense I expect a lot of interest. If the UF offense is the same as the last 4 years and Muschamp manages a 2012 like season and keeps his job then UF will pick up Plan B recruits on offense.

For UF, it is very simple. Win enough to remove all coaching stability questions, and the class will easily end up top 5. As Cro alluded to, UF has a lot of top targets left on the board, and a few they really like their chances of flipping later in the process. UF will sign 22-25 kids.

I thought this could be the case.

I think UF will be fine by NSD. Shite, LSU only has 15 verbal commits currently.

Florida's recruiting class will go as their season goes. Like someone else said recruits are taking a wait and see approach with them. They could easily end up in the top 5 (recruiting) with a good season.

I decided to take a decent look at your recruiting class and its not looking good. At this stage in the recruiting process, you don't have a single recruit in state of Florida that's in the top 50 and only 2 in the top 100. As of right now, your top recruits are all out of state.

The recruiting outlook for skill positions on offense is downright dreadful for the gators right now. You have to go preety dam far down the Florida list of top WRs, QBs, TEs, RBs, and generic athletes to find a single one of them that is a gator lean. They are going everywhere but Florida.

Even if you got top 3 prospects in Florida, your recruiting class is looking unbalanced, especially when you look at your 2014 class. If something goes wrong with them, you have effectively been shutout the state of Florida.

Please note this isn't a haha Gators recruiting is down post. I am objectively looking at your recruiting and on offense, kids have be drifting away from Florida for several years now. Its a trend.
