Sounds like he will be redshirting this season after finding out he has type 1 diabetes a couple months ago. Expects to be back next season.

As a father of a T1D son I with him the best and hope he can overcome it. They have come a really long way in treating T1D but it is a major life adjustment and it is likely the right decision to take a year to do so. There have been a few NFL players that made it in spite of their T1D with the most prominent being Jay Cutler.
