I don't really pay that much attention to all the stat nonsense.

Auburn pulled away from a still winless in the SEC coached team in the second half.

A&M has that capability to surprise folks like they did South Carolina, but will they only play that well again maybe vs Bama?

This LSU fan isn't worried about either to be honest.

In other words you enjoy the social aspect of football games and don't pay attention to actual football.

You shouldn't pay too much attention to a first game of the season other than win and loss. Your opponent has had the most time to prepare and get ready for that first game than any other on your schedule.

Why do you think you hear a team's biggest improvement is usually seen in week 2? Because your next opponent has basically spent less time on a game plan. Also, a team gets their first game under their belt and ready to roll.

Good thing their is 11 games left to prove one way or the other right?
