Les just explained how it happened. Poor kid is a freshman and just got caught looking around the stadium instead of teeing up the ball.

No i think his explanation was the kid went right out there and put the ball on the tee immediately. And therefore the official started the clock.

I found it pretty funny after we ended up getting the touchback anyway. Before that I was a little frusterated due to the way the 1st half went.

Well he put it 5 yards deep in the end zone after the penalty, so i loved it.

I certainly did. It wouldn't be a Les Miles LSU game without some weird penalty/officiating that has never been seen before or since.

also full disclosure i dont follow kicker recruiting very closely. i had no idea our kicker was black (not that there's anything wrong with that).

I knew about him when he signed but I told my wife a lot of people around the country did a double take when they watched the 2nd half kick off.

Typical LSU football. Still managed a touchback, and at the end of the game the ones with a sore arse couldn't remember it.
