We have the potential to move up a couple of spots in the BYE week, if MSU or Oregon really have a convincing victory, and VT beats tOSU, we would be #6 going into SCAR...not sure I really want that. Would prefer to have flown a little more under the radar. I think we are actually getting a little too much media love after one game. Hope the coaches can keep the kids grounded.

^This. However, I think our staff can keep them grounded a bit.

Pruitt needs to talk to them like they are worthless animals for the next 10 days or so. Rip them in on the practice field, rip them in the film room.

No mercy. Mercy is for the weak.

Seems about right based on the games I saw in week 1. I tend to follow the adage that things are usually not as bad or good as they seem at the time. The SC/ECU game is going to be interesting. I'm expecting SC to bounce back but if they don't our trip to Columbia could be easier than I expect.

Just show the defense the first half and the offense the third quarter over and over. That will keep them grounded.

No chance of that now. ESPN was basically the Todd Gurley show Sat night and into Sunday. He deserves all the credit he gets...but I don't see us exactly sneaking up on anyone with with our running game.

Alabama didn't look good, but it's tough to justify moving them down unless another highly-ranked team absolutely killed it. Unless Bama loses or just looks bad in all of their wins, they will probably stay in the top 5 throughout the season, regardless of how good the other teams are playing. I guess that's an advantage of starting the season with a really high ranking.

They struggle with teams they shouldn't once in awhile. I think it was 2009 that without a blocked FG from Mount Cody they would've lost to the Vols. That being said WVU's offense is exactly the type of offense that always gives Bama problems.

I was underwhelmed by what I saw from the Gumps. Didn't expect WV to hang as close as they did.
