Mauk has them.

Arrange title words to your liking.

Not only does he have good, deep balls.

He hits the spot every time.

You can't teach that. Sure, some guys hit it sometimes, and others just aren't able to get that deep. That's the difference between MM and other QB's, that constant pounding of the deep ball, always in the right spot, penetrating just at the right time.

Really, it's the kind of magic that brings people to that climatic, edge of their seat moment. With the ultimate release of joy.

but can he be taught to throw a spiral or is it too late for that type of development?

He can go deep but how long can he last? You have to have some staying power.

I think we would not have had a completed thread without your contribution.

seeing the pie pan grip he uses you have to wonder how he manages such accuracy.

maybe his dad and brother can come coach him up on finding/hitting the short receiver over the middle, and I appreciate his "get rid of it" mentality but there are also those "peel it and eat it" moments in the game as well.

Do you have any idea how hard it is to have good deep balls and yet be right in tempo?

It requires a good firm grip on the balls and snappy release at exactly the right moment.

And he's so much better when he stays in the pocket.
