Good god that is just unfair Going to be a helluva year in the West...I'm afraid we will all beat up on each other this year and keep someone out of the playoff. Which truly would be bull shite when no other conference division even comes close to ours. The days of trying to make a team feel bad because they are 4th or 5th in the West really holds no weight....not when we are as strong as we are now.

Did enough teams lose for State to jump in?

They might not crack it, but they should be without a doubt.

There are a lot of good teams in the West but no great teams as of now..still way too early to tell who is great in the SEC imo.

Some coaches might not like the fact that one division will make up 25% of the top 25 in the country.....politics can play a role too. MS state is a top 25 team and you rebels just need to accept that

There is even a chance [albeit a small one] that four of the Top-10 will be SEC-West.

I'm talking about the West, not the entire SEC. Just be glad you guys play in that crappy division called the East

Fair enough. It's a plausible theory.

Did I say they weren't? I think they should be. I also think both MS teams will spank LSU in DV and you tigahs just need to accept that.

Awwww....aren't you cute. Good luck with that

Beating State 15 years in a row now sure has been fun...how many in a row has it been for you guys?? Good luck with your turnover machine QB.

Accept what, that you think?

I'm not buying it.

'04 Auburn was 23rd
'04 Utah unranked
'14 Auburn unranked
'14 Missouri unranked
'08 Ole Miss unranked

Hmmm, maybe it is rocket science.

We won't find out about State until they play in Death Valley. I'm taking the under(lock of the millennium)

Serious question. With our defense clearly being a Top 2 SEC defense with UGA, does Fournette crack double digit yards against us?

Still very early and so much can happen. I'll wait until the 5th or 6th week to make a substantial judgement.

Wow...we are way off from being top 2..35 whole yards. And where are you guys on the list??

TEAM Total yards
Tennessee 244.0
Mississippi St 283.0
Georgia 291.0
LSU 318.0
Auburn 328.0
Vanderbilt 351.0
Mizzou 365.0
Alabama 393.0
Kentucky 398.0
Ole Miss 399.0
Texas A&M 433.0
Arkansas 595.0
South Carolina 680.0

I feel confident we will fair just fine. You will be facing an extremely stout D/secondary that will be begging your turnover machine to pass it. Plus how many yards will you run for against our D? You had 71 yards total rushing vs a crappy Boise State team...I mean really? That's just sad. And, never underestimate playing in Death Valley (most likely a night game this year). The only team in a while to beat us there at night was Bama and that took a miracle for them to do it.
