Week one has come to a close. What is something about your team that looked better than you expected and what looked worse?

Our defense looked really good, I didn't see one thing that needed real improvement.

Our offensive line looked even worse than anyone could have imagined, it was bad. We had way to many false starts.

Better: Jeremy Johnson's progression through his receivers.

Worse: LB play against the run

OL - better than expected. No sacks (intentional grounding not included) and holes galore for the RBs

Passing game - wasn't great but it didn't need to be. Also, 2 starting WR still on the sideline so obvious room for improvement here

Looked Better:
Our defense actually has life again and will be at least be average in the sec
Looked Worse:
Our special teams return game hasn't looked as good so far, but I expect Noil/Williams to get loose at some point

Better: Offense looked to have a good showing, FG kicking was pretty impressive - 7 scoring drives out of 9 isn't too shabby.

Worse: Secondary was having issues (waiting to see if returning players help with that), the big kick off return was frustrating.

Better: Kenny Hill, D-Line, Armani Watts.

Worse: Still had some mental breakdowns in the secondary leading to Carolina's big plays. It's not a talent gap though, so the coaches should be able to overcome it.

Actually three. Mitchell, JSW and Rumph, I believe.

They've really done a good job with the grass on our field. It had a very nice green hue to it.

I would have rather watched a Schindler's List and Passion of the Christ marathon than witness the abomination of our A&M game.

Better: Our passing game looked good on the intermediate and deep routes, and our WRs look very good. Jennings had a few misfires on some short stuff, which should be easy to correct. More than anything, I was impressed by Jennings' poise when we were down in the second half, reminiscent of when he came in at the end vs. Arkie last year. He hit some huge 3rd down passes, was accurate on his throws, didn't turn it over, and seemed really under control the whole second half. At WR, Diarse was a beast, Dural had a big night, and Quinn looked very good, making a very nice one-handed catch on a short throw and almost making a circus catch right before Diarse's TD. And we didn't even have Dupre available Saturday, so we should be even better when he returns. Inexperience at QB and WR was the biggest question mark about this team, so it's very encouraging that we did well in both areas. Kenny Hilliard looks like he did in 2011, only faster. Gamble has a freaking cannon for a leg on kickoffs.

Worse: Defensive line got pushed around by Wisconsin's OL more than I thought they would, but maybe getting back some of those who missed Saturday's game will help with that. Offensive line faced a stacked box and couldn't open anything up. They seemed to do fine once we spread the defense out with 3-4 wide sets and Jennings hit some passes, but I was hoping for a little better performance from a veteran OL that was supposed to be a strength of the team against a defense that lost its entire front 7. Fournette didn't really get many opportunities except against a defensive set that was keyed on stopping him (or whatever RB we had in the game), but didn't look as fast and maneuverable as Hilliard.
