[quote]@CollegeGameDay: Baylor QB Bryce Petty is day-to-day after suffering two cracked vertebrae: LINK LINK ]

Sucks to B U.

Briles left Petty and his injured back in the game well after the injury too place and game was in hand.

This is squarely on Briles. What a POS keeping Petty in like that.

Yeah I will never forget that TCU kid's shirt. Basically my favorite TCU fan all time.

I call like three people after I saw that live who also saw it and we laughed. :CSB:

I hate that.
It's sickening, actually.
Here's hoping his athleticism will aid in his healing process.
Same w Ash (though it sounds like he'd do best to put fb in his rear view mirror and go and live a head-injury-free life).

Re: "Not caring about the Bears," "the horns," etc. ....
Care about whomever you want.
The 19-yr-old, mouth-breathers on tSECr, who think their group-think opinions mean squat, are laughable.
History to some of em is what happens when the juvenile, effeminate decals on their Yeti coolers begin to peel off.
I like our new conference; but I've learned that the ignorance that characterizes many SEC fans is mind-blowing--much more so than I ever anticipated.

Sorry for hijacking your thread.
Truly hope the kid gets to feeling better.

i thought i'd post this here.

Baylor came off last week ranked 8 in this week's coaches poll.

i think Baylor's pretty salty, but beating down SMU and losing your QB in the process seems questionable to me.

How many teams did you combine in that sentence?

i feel like it was grammatically sound.

let me try again

I think that Baylor is a salty football team, but their defeat of the lowly Southern Methodist University Ponies and the loss of their quarterback seems questionable when held up to to their new top 10 ranking.

Grammatically - yes
Correct teams - no

tu played North Texas.

ETA: Also, since Petty hasnt been officially ruled out, Relapse might be assuming you are speaking of tu here as well.

no i meant Baylor, but my opinion of Briles will go down significantly if he throws Petty out there.

EKG, I agree with you about the ignorance of a LARGE percentage of the "Old SEC" fans, but I must admit that there are a half-dozen (or so) Aggie posters that I consider to be low-grade morons as well.

I hope Petty recovers. He's the real deal. And in a perfect world, he would recover and throw a bullet right into Gabe Bock's mug. On here, I get the Baylor hate. On Texags and a national audience, not so much. Gabe is making fun of a school for their (my words, not his) beautiful stadium much closer to campus. What the actual hell? Yeah, their stadium has less than half the capacity of ours. They also have less than 1/3 the students A&M does, and (guessing here, I don't actually know) less than 1/4 the live alumni. It just seems lame to me to pick on them about stadium capacity.

Now... if you want to pick on them about not filling up that stadium in the future, I'm right there with dumb bastard Gabe. Or the stadium emptying in the 4th quarter in the opening game in their brand new stadium when their team was playing flawlessly - I get that, too. But to make fun of them over stadium capacity just seems lame to me.

On the other hand, I'm an old curmudgeon from a Baylor family, so I'm hopelessly biased.
