With all the Hype about beating SC, what is the greater win? Bama went on to a National Title even after ya beat them. What makes a win over South Carolina so great?

They feel validated because they did it without JFF

They've printed shirts for both.

Bama, because without it, manziel wouldn't have been in the national conversation for the heisman and we would not be on a recruiting roll and gotten players like hill, garrett, RSJ, noil, etc.

Ummm NO. This is a serious question. Seems like y'all much more pumped up about this win. When y'all beat Bama y'all told them how great they were the rest of the year, just hope y'all Suck the Game Cocks D the same way y'all did with Bama.

The Bama win was more significant to the program. It essentially won Manziel a Heisman, made our program nationally relevant and the media hasn't stopped talking about us since.

However, in terms of personal satisfaction the USC might have been bigger for me. We had spent two decades always losing our first big game of the year, and to be in the national picture after that game for once is incredibly refreshing.

It's probably going to keep me up all night that I agree with you. Congrats . The first big game thing cannot be overstated for Aggies, but you already know that.

99% of Aggie fans will tell you Bama, which is the obvious correct answer. Just because you proclaim that every Aggie is treating this as a bigger win than Bama 2012 doesn't make it the truth.

2012 Alabama was a national championship team. 2014 South Carolina will be lucky to win 8 games.

I think the answer was obvious.

Bama.

Does this question really need to be asked? The 2012 Bama team won a national championship. Unless Spurrier turns things around quickly, USC won't even compete for the division.

Like many posters have already said, I'm not convinced A&M is as good as they looked, nor do I think USC is as bad as they looked. There are still a lot of games to play, and competing in the SEC takes a toll the other conferences can't even begin to comprehend.

Beating Alabama in 2012 secured their third place division title.

I think this will partly depend on how we do this year. I hope we can recover, but if that pass defense doesn't shape up really quick we're going to finish with a very average record.

I was lucky enough to be at both games. Alabama because they are just a better program but darn that SC game was fun and keeps us in the conversation for a month or so. A loss would have knocked us out of the polls. Out of sight out of mind.

It'll be our fourth best win of the year.
