In all seriousness, I think he needs to stay somewhere for at least a couple of years before he'll get a serious HC look. Only thing he seems to be missing on his resume is that he can produce and recruit at a single place for an extended period of time. Some school may come in and be willing to risk it but I doubt it will be a gig worth leaving Athens for.

Promise of succeeding Saban. At this point, we have all but made that promise to Bobo I believe.

No way they promised him that

In regard to Pruitt, we have to be prepared to pay him like Alabama pays Smart and make the case that he's in a good spot to wait for the right opportunity, not the first one. If a top tier school offers him a job, so be it, but he shouldn't leave for just anyone who offers him a HC job.

That's why I said "all but promised." Writing is on the wall that the job is Bobo's to lose when the time inevitably comes (though that doesn't mean he won't lose out, but it will take a pretty great candidate form the outside to come in and replace Richt without consideration being given to letting Bobo keep everything intact).

I'd be fine with Bobo taking the reigns.

We'd have to offer Pruitt +1 mil/yr to hold off smaller schools. He gets an offer from a mediocre/good Power 5 school and he gone.

I think Pruitt stays for at least a few seasons. I'm not sure any of the big programs would want to gamble on a second year coordinator and I think he wants to create a legacy for himself. But we definitely will have to ve prepared to pay him the big bucks.

I think itd have to be a school in close proximity since part of his reasoning for leaving fsu was to be closer to family. And i agree with whoever said he may want to stick around and build on a legacy that he atnthis point is lacking.

He left FSU to get back in the SEC,so assuming he wants to be a head coach in the SEC, what job likely opens up; that is worth taking.... They only jobs that I can believe he would want are in no order ...
UGA
AU
BAMA
USC
UF
LSU
UT
TEXAM

And they aren't looking... For now!
*UF could be, but more than likely would go Offense, based on past success there ( OBC & Meyer )..would probably go after Morris or Chip Kelley, think they would be done with Def coaches.

Does he like working for Richt.

If he does, he stays for at least a second season.

If not - he gone.

Regardless, at least after the first game, I am VERY glad he is in Athens this season.

I could understand that I guess.

To me he's proven he can recruit GA effectively, develop QB's, plus his play-calling has improved almost every year it seems. I just don't want him to go to another school and show out honestly.

I just don't want them to turn the program right over to him. I'd be happy with a search that included him. Frankly, after one game and a shitload of Kool Aid I'm on Team Pruitt for HC.

But, shite, this is too early for me to worry about.
