We had a decent showing out party by our freshmen. Without watching the game again I can remember six ish true freshmen have significant PT. LF7 didn't get the blocks he needed or the plays to use his magic. He still showed lots of promise in his carries.

Daniel Carlson missed a 41 yard FG off the upright but redeemed himself on a 45 yarder. He had a 63 yard punt and averaged well over 50 yards per punt with excellent hangtime. And he leads the SEC in touchback percentage on kick offs.

Better than Leonard Fournette. Both of them.

We had about 28-30 of them. They won a football game. And pitched a shutout in the 1st half.

I cringe at the fact that we would have to use freshmen that committed to miss state

The one time Fournette had the ball with room to run went pretty well.

Felt pretty good about Chubb and Michel. There were times that michel looked a little lost and made a couple of mistakes, but he ran well and showed a lot of speed and quickness. Chubb looks like Gurley, Jr.....but it's early.

No need to get jealous. LF will shine more than anybody by years end

While I agree that LF will only get better and will probably end with more yards than our freshmen, I'm not sure what about his post sounded like jealousy. Fact, yes, but not jealousy. Face it. They DID better than LF in their first game. Statistics show that.

Maybe the fact that was the first thought that popped in his mind. LSU had more than enough freshman play but LF was brought up right out the gate. I said it all along, LF would play a limited role first half of the season

I agreed with this before the season. I felt by game 3 he would be featured, and tend to still believe this. Feature him against ULM and get him ready for Miss. St. By the end of the season LF will be a legitimate force and detractors will fade away.

Don't get me wrong...I LOVE our two freshmen RBs.
