Why didn't we use our tight ends more often yesterday? Especially OJ Howard. I felt like he did a great job last season, and Saban spoke positively about him during camp. I'm pretty disappointed that we didn't see any production from OJ or any tight ends yesterday.

The offensive game plan called for us to attack the perimeter.

This. Glad you said it Chad. I saw the thread and thought "I don't wanna have to keep repeating it"

But of course here I am anyway.

So...the tight end can't take a pass on the perimeter? If our offense is supposed to be highlighting our playmakers then we are certainly not showing that by completely ignoring one of the best receivers on our team.

Not when you were running 15-20% of the O. When more is installed, you'll see more Howard.

Coop had 12 catches, White had 6 catches despite getting hurt early in the 3rd quarter, Yeldon had 23 runs, Henry had 17 runs.

We showed we were highlighting our playmakers. You can't highlight everyone at once or no one was highlighted.

Maybe things will change, but all I saw yesterday was more of the same in terms of using our tight ends. Using Howard as a blocker only would be a shame.

I'm confident that OJ will catch at least 30 passes. If Jones has the dropsies, Howard will for sure be the 2nd/3rd option.
