Have watched the game 3 times now ......

*Holsey is our best cover guy
*Rudy is our best safety
*Little disappointed in Moncrief
*Frost seems like he is too big to be agile enough to make lateral tackles in space when the hole opens up.... But he plays hard
*CAP is hot and cold
*There is no way Duke is 216
*Bradley got manhandled a lot
*Adams has improved
*Cass is a thumper for sure
*Garrett is also a thumper and I can see how he beat out therezie last year
*We aren't going to be able to set the edge this year on jets

I agree but since it's just the first game I will reserve my many thoughts until later. It was good to get this type of game first and they made adjustments where needed.

CAP is a beast. He doesn't have game breaker speed, but when he is allowed to get going he can get serious chunk yards.

We did a lot in the second half. Holsey was really quiet yesterday.

Your saying that like it's a bad thing ?..... There wasn't even an attempt his way..... After the delay they rolled out and the ua qb looked like he was going to throw to his tight end in the flat but Holsey jumped it..... Otherwise they didn't even attempt

Adult males should not use the word "tidbits."

But i agree with your thought. It was a tale if two offenses yesterday. CAP did not get going until Marshall got into the game. We need Marshall to make this run game work.

Eh I couldn't think of anything else ..... I agree halfway with u though... CAP got going with Marshall in because of the threat of Marshall running but I think that some kinks were worked out from the running game because in the first half a lot of people misses their blocks like uzomah missed a couple on crucial third down plays and things like that

As someone pointed out it looks as if they held JJ from doing any real read option to mix it up in the second half. I remember reading that JJ does a good job in read option. Obviously Nick is goat doing it.

I agree with the poster that posted that, but I think we didn't see everything JJ can do with the offense yet (JJ won't ever be NM in the read option, but he could do enough to help the run game more). However, as to what we saw in the game Nick opened up the lanes for the other RB's.

Perusing their board I cannot help but feel slightly bad/inner chuckle at how bad they are grasping at straws to find anything positive. Whether it be an open receiver streaking down the left hash on a play where the QB gets hit as he's throwing and it's intercepted for a touchdown, they'll find some positive. I think the next 5-6 weeks will determine if the BB experiment was worth it. I'd personally be making phone calls to their AD & raising hell if my OC was that incompetent. They say this a 3 year transition. My response is how many programs are going to give a coach 3 years to suck before they see solid improvement. They def have some roster issues but is this not the third recruiting class he'll be bringing in in February. He was hired before Malzahn was by Auburn. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Beilema's downfall at arkansas will be that defense, specifically the back seven... and it'd not really his fault... What little defensive foundation Petrino laid was ripped up through his departure and JLS as head coach.

They will be solid in offense with that OL and backfield.

Excited about this offense and the D should get better. Frost needs to work on closing the gap. Saw at least 1 run where he jumped to one side instead of just filling the hole, reminded me of someone...

More Grant and Barber. CAP is good but he does dance at times when he should plow. Nothing wrong w a committee.

Need to get the ball to Slammie more. Also, wonder how Gus plans to increase JJs involvement? Don't like bringing him in for a play here and there. Maybe let him get a few drives throughout each game?
