We Bama fans are just terrible

Already after game 1, there is unrest with Saban. When I watched the game yesterday I noticed (and have before) that our fans in the stands don't just look disappointed when another team scores or does something positive, but look disgusted that Alabama would allow it to happen. Sims looked fine yesterday and did exactly (maybe more) than he needed to for a first start, yet our fans are only pointing out the negatives as proof that Coker should be the guy.
Bama fans don't get enjoyment from watching the game, but relief if the team wins and again disgust if they lose.
I'm happy with the performance yesterday, and realize that though the team might be average right now, they will get better.
I've always maintained that if you can't enjoy 9-10 win seasons, you really shouldn't be watching this sport because obviously you have a whole other meaning of life invested in the game. Bama fans, lighten up.

Great comments. I especially liked the observation that if you can't enjoy a 9 or 10 win season, you shouldn't watch.

I agree 100% with you. I've been a Bama fan for 50 years. These are the glory years and people need to enjoy them. Trust me they don't last forever.

Very good points.
I have always maintained that I never want "expect" to win a championship. If that is your expectation level, you will never be able to enjoy the games throughout the season.

The fanbase is taking on the persona of their HC, anything but perfection is a disappointment. Not a bad thing but kinda takes the fun out of it.

It is true what the OP says. But there are still a lot of bama fans who are very happy with what we saw yesterday. Unfortunately we have a bunch of shitty posters with crimson a's beside their name on this site. You just gotta be able to tell which posters are good fans and which are dumbasses.
