is that these people can't stand it.

Lots of insecurity and face saving. Lot's of obsession with us. It's killing them on the inside, and I'm loving that.

Kiffin is doing and will continue to do a helluva job for us. He and Saban really like each other and respect each other tremendously.

And it's killing the hillbillies.

Yep. People act like Saban was controlling Kiffin, but most of the time Saban wasn't objecting to anything Kiffin said or did. He was just listening.

Saban post game told the media to admit Kiffin is a good coach.

He can be a douche, but he's a great offensive mind/coach, and Saban is the perfect man to help Kiffin from here.

I hope Kiffin realizes he isn't cut out to be a HC for a few years and sticks it out as an OC. And there isn't a better OC job in the country than Bama.

Sitting 50 yard line, 4th row of the upper deck, right behind our bench, I had a good view. Every time I looked...and I looked lots of times...Saban was rarely anywhere near Kiffin when we had the ball. Even on the 4th down play. In contrast, on defense, Saban was always very engaged and rarely very far from Smart.

My impression is that Kiffin and Saban are on the same page, but Kiffin runs the offense.

Definitely. And there is no reason our O can't continue to put up that kind of yardage with more TDs and less FGs. I liked that we threw it more than expected. We have so many weapons to throw to, we just have to throw em the ball as much as we run the beasts.

We have Southern Miss in two weeks. State dropped 49 on em. We should be able to repeat that if Saban lets Kiffin control everything.

It all depends on your perspective.

McElwain would probably agree.

Nussmeier would probably disagree.

- You get to learn from Nick Saban

- You're going to be in title contention every year

- You have multiple number 1 recruiting classes worth of talent to work with

What's a better OC job than that? There are teams with better offenses and better offensive minded HCs, but be serious for a second. Bama has the talent. Bama will pay as much as anyone you if you do your job. Bama is the top program now and of all time. Nick Saban will make you better. You get to test your offense against the best defenses in CFB.

One thing I found is that Bama yesterday had more offensive yards in their opener than any of the past Bama teams since 2009 (didnt count 2010 since it was against San Jose state)

Now that's what I'm talking about...and that takes us back to my original point. Vol fans have been all over themselves trying to convince themselves and anyone else foolish enough to listen that the Kiffin hire will be a disaster. Inwardly, and sometimes outwardly, they are obsessed with it. It will be so sweet getting to watch them as they have to just sit there and take it as Kiffin succeeds at Alabama.
