Get your nominations in now for spots 2-5.

For the newbies, this is the preeminent, unbiased ranking of the top 5 SEC RBs.

quote:

As always this list chronicles the top SEC running backs by production on the field to date for the current season. Objective statistics are the primary criteria utilized in formulating this list, however, the statistics are set into context based on the quality of opponent upon which the statistics were accumulated. In some instances where the choice is close, a subjective eye test is also taken into account. However, hype, injuries, suspensions, etc. are not. This isn't a list of most talented or a prediction of NFL draft status. It is just an unbiased look at which 5 SEC RB's are getting the job done the best on the field. As such, this list will likely drastically change each week, especially early in the season.

Can Gurley be #1-5? Is that allowed?

Is this because we all know who the unanimous #1 will be?

I'd put Henry and Yeldon on there, but I'm biased.

In no order:

Gurrley
CAP
Henry
Yeldon
Kenny Hilliard

I'd say the guy from Mizzou, but Hilliard played Wisconsin and he played South Dakota or something.

CAP obviously deserves a spot. What about Braylon (sp?) Heard, who ran for 116 on only two carries?

UK's Braylon Heard had two possessions (tweaked his ankle) and scored TDs on both. One at 43 yards and the other 73.

That's efficiency baby.

I agree with this order, at this point in time.

CAP
Josh Robinson
Yeldon
Kenny Hilliard

I like Robinson in there, even though the competition wasn't stiff, he caught more passes than the rest, and the NFL likes that, I am told.

The name of the game is scoring TDs. Gotta give love to Tra Carson scoring 3 TDs on USCe's vaunted defense in that hostile environment.

Barely got out alive.

Wonder how much people will complain about it.

Even tho last year they were pretty legit rankings.

WDE24's Top 5 RB's is one of the PREEMINENT reasons to read the SEC Rant.

If you miss it, you suck.

If you disagree with it, you suck.

So read it.

And agree with it.

That is all.
