After all the dust settles and Auburn/A&M fans are done beating their chest, everyone will point to these wins over the ACC, BigXII and BiG10 as the proof the SEC is still the king power conference.

A&M and Auburn did look good and got a conference win but it takes 6 or 7 more of those to get to Atlanta.

We blew out SC while LSU struggled with the Fighting Berts. The decline is real.

People who still put FSU in it lose some credibility. They didn't look good yesterday

What a knee-jerk reaction by Mark May...one good game from UGA and A&M and all of the sudden they're the two best teams in the country...smh

Good teams sometimes win ugly. FSU survived probably their toughest test of the season vs Okie St. They will blow through their ACC schedule and likely go undefeated again this season. Objectively, what team in the ACC has any chance of upsetting FSU?

Mr. Auburnphan, don't forget that your team looked pretty rough in a few games last season yet still made it to the championship game. One game does not define a team.

Holy overreaction, mark may. A&M will still lose 3 games this year at least. And Georgia will find a way to get upset just like they always do.

I think a lot of people aren't getting the point of this thread

Did they? True, they scorched South Carolina, but to a lot of people, that only diminishes the depth of the SEC. Same as if the score had been reversed. Beating teams from another conference is going to matter more. Even though the LSU game was a bigger struggle than the Bama game, it may well be more important- because Wisconsin might finish higher in the Big 10 than West Virginia does in the Big 12. But both these games are essential to establishing that OUR teams are better than THEIRS, and we need that if we want to get into the playoffs.
